Inland Schools Girls and Boys Hockey Association (ISGBHA)

The KZN Inland Hockey Association (“Inland Hockey”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

We may collect personal information including names, contact details, dates of birth, identification numbers where required, team or role information, medical or safeguarding information (where necessary), and any information submitted through registration forms, events, or our website.

Purpose for Collection

Personal information is collected and processed only for lawful and hockey-related purposes, including player and official registration, team selection, communication, competition administration, safeguarding, compliance with governing bodies, and internal record-keeping.

Lawful Processing

We process personal information based on consent, contractual necessity, legal obligation, or legitimate interests related to the administration and development of hockey. Where required, consent may be withdrawn at any time, subject to legal or operational requirements.

Information Sharing

Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties except where necessary for official hockey operations (such as provincial or national governing bodies), service providers assisting with administration, or where required by law. All third parties are expected to handle information responsibly and securely.

Data Security

Inland Hockey takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure. Access is restricted to authorised officials and administrators.

In accordance with POPIA, individuals have the right to:

  • Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary data

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa
